The CJ2A had a four cylinder L-head Go-Devil engine with an 80 inch wheelbase, and a modified and revised transmission and updated axles. Basically, the CJ2A is a modified Willys MB. Exterior changes included a hinged tailgate for easier loading and unloading and the spare wheel was relocated to the vehicles side.

Walcks's Random Fact:

The Willys MB US Army Jeep, along with the nearly identical Ford GPW, was manufactured from 1941 to 1945. They are considered the iconic World War II Jeep. Over the years, the World War II Jeep later evolved into "CJ" civilian jeep and has been recognized as a symbol of rugged individualism in twentieth century American History.
